WRITE YOUR MEMORIES INTO FAMILY STORIES
by Glenda Beall, 6 Sessions, Tuesdays, January 26 – March 2, 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm
Using the five senses, seeing, hearing, tasting, feeling, and smelling will draw readers into your stories, create details that make your memories come alive. Students will receive prompts to get the memories flowing. They will write a story each week to share for feedback. The instructor will read and offer suggestions and advice with any problems in their writing.
Glenda Beall is the author of the poetry book, Now Might as Well be Then, co-author of Paws, Claws, Hooves, Feathers and Fins, and a family history book Profiles and Pedigrees, The Descendants of Thomas Charles Council (1858- 1911). Her creative nonfiction, short stories and poetry have been published in magazines, anthologies, and journals such as Reunion Magazine, Kakalak NC Poets 2009, Cup of Comfort for Horse Lovers, and others.
