LET’S CREATE A CHAPBOOK by Rosemary Royston
4 Sessions, Wednesday, July 10 – July 31, 3:15 pm – 5:15 pm
In this four session class, students will write poems in response to thematic prompts. Poems will be presented in class and workshopped. The facilitator will compile a selection of the poems into a chapbook (handmade) that will be presented to class participants on the final day. Special attention in workshop will be given to diction, sound, imagery, lineation, and the necessity of revision. All levels welcome.
Rosemary Royston, author of Splitting the Soil (Finishing Line Press, 2014), resides in northeast Georgia, with her family. Her flash fiction and poetry have been published in journals such as NANO Fiction, Appalachian Heritage, Southern Poetry Review, KUDZU, Town Creek Review, and *82 Review. She’s the VP for Planning and Special Projects at Young Harris College.
