The Georgia Mountain Research & Education Center is located 3 miles south of the Blairsville Square, on the east side of Hwy 19/129.

The southern Appalachian mountains are home to an astounding array of native flora, many of which are highlighted in these gardens. Visit the historic Cannery Interpretive Center, stroll through the Ethnobotanic gardens, and take a short hike along the Woodland Medicine Trail.
Come learn about how our ancestors and native Americans used plants for food, fiber and medicine. Find out how "weeds" may provide homes to valuable pollinators.
