First United Methodist Church of Union County’s annual Fall Festival will be from 9am to 4pm on Friday, October 13th, and from 9am to 2pm on Saturday, October 14th, rain or shine! This Fall Festival is one of FUMC’s largest community events of the year! Crafts abound this year with hand-made items for "the Birds", "Fluffy and Fido", Baby, Spa Products to pamper, An Old Fashioned Christmas, carved "stick men", kitchen "fashion", Santa Gourds, baskets, Rock animals and much more. You will be delighted with the choice of unusual and fun gifts for everyone. New to this year’s festival, we will have the Clothes Closet where shoppers will find gently used clothing items for children and adults. We will have a large number of well loved items in our Trash and Treasures building including tools, electronics, pet items, candles, jewelry, books, CD’s, and DVD’s. Too many categories of items to list! Our Christmas section is full of ornaments, yard decorations, and fun knick-knacks. The Trash and Treasure Sale is a must stop while at the FUMC Fall Festival! Come hungry and our Methodist Men’s group will serve up their “almost famous barbeque”! Lunch or take out will be available from 12pm until 2pm. Lunch includes a barbeque plate with baked beans, cole slaw, potato salad and a drink for only $7. Those with a sweet tooth should plan to visit the Bake Shoppe where you will find homemade baked goods such as breads, cookies, out of this world pies, cakes of all kinds, cupcakes, and brownies! Gluten free and sugar free items will be sold as well. The Candy Shoppe is a new addition to the Fall Festival. It will feature all kinds of homemade candy from some of our best candy makers. Beautiful candies make perfect gifts! The Country Store is a favorite stop for shoppers each year. Home-canned vegetables, relishes and jams are perfect holiday gifts for family and friends.
