    Southern Tree Plantation

    An active farm, growing thousands of pumpkins and Christmas trees each year. The plantation is loaded with fun activities such as kids train rides, crafts, a wooden maze, and marshmallow roasting.

    Seasonal Tip: The Scenic Byways, trimmed thickly with foliage, rival any New England leaf watching experience! This is also the best time of year to explore the North Georgia Farm Trail, featuring over 100 agritourism sites and shop the 22 mile Artisan Corridor of arts and crafts shops, galleries, and boutiques.

    Festival Fun: Two of Union County’s longest running festivals take place in October. The Indian Summer Festival in Suches is the first weekend in October and the Sorghum Festival is the second and third weekends at Meeks Park. Don’t miss Vogel State Park’s Mountain Music Arts & Crafts Festival in September and Fall Hoedown in October.
