Watch the 2017 Solar Eclipse in Blairsville, GA. Blairsville-Union County is in the path of the total solar eclipse that will cross the United States on Monday, August 21, 2017, and it was recently named one of the best places to watch the Eclipse in Georgia. The Partial Phase starts at 1:05pm and Totality begins at 2:34pm. Blairsville will receive 1 minute and 58 seconds of totality!

There are lots of viewing parties in the area for visitors and locals to experience the eclipse. A complete list is provided below. The Chamber sponsored parties on Aug. 21 include:

Meeks Moon Party: 11 am - 4 pm at Meeks Park
Viewing at the IP: 11 am - 4 pm at the Blairsville Industrial Park
Totality Tailgate: 11 am - 4 pm at the Union County Schools Fine
Arts Center
